If I had a dollar for every time someone told me they wished they could workout, but can't because of their kids, I could retire at old age of 24 😂. I totally get it, working out can definitely be harder because of kids. But you know what the best part about it is? You have your own little cheerleaders! Emersyn loves to watch and chime in with her "stroonggg!!! Wow mama!" and it's amazing. It's even better when she joins me and is so proud of herself.
Having gone through the clingy nursing baby stage, (and about to go through it again!) and now into the toddler stage, here are my tips for still getting your workouts done with kids:
1: if your kiddos are anything like Emersyn was as a baby, and won't let you put them down, do your workouts while they sleep! Whether it's before they wake up, during nap, or after they've gone to bed. I've had to do that plenty of times 😅.
2: workout in their play area! You don't need a ton of space to get it done. I literally do my workouts in the corner of Emmy's room. She has all her toys in there to keep her occupied, and it's totally baby proof.
I workout and eat healthy to be strong FOR my kids. I want to be the mom that can run and play right there with them. My kids are my REASON, not my excuse.
