8 Bread Slices
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
10-12 Curry Leaves
1/4 cup Peanuts crushed
1/2 cup Onion chopped
2 tsp Green Chillies chopped
1/4 cup Green Peas
1/4 cup Tomato chopped
1 tsp Ginger grated
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Fresh Coriander chopped
Cut the bread slices into 1 inch squares.
Splash some water or buttermilk over them and toss once.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and curry leaves and let them crackle for a few seconds.
Add peanuts and fry for a few seconds.
Add onion, green chilli, peas, tomato and ginger and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Now add turmeric powder and salt to taste and cook for minute.
Add bread cubes, lemon juice and fresh coriander and toss everything well.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat. Serve hot.
You can splash the bread with buttermilk for extra flavour.
